Each Adesso iLamp has a plastic organizer base which contains an open cradle that holds an iPod or other music player. The base also has two 3" round speakers, four pen holders and two small sections for holding clips or other small items.

A headphone jack adaptor cord plugs into the base behind a rotary socket switch. The switch offers four settings: lamp only, music only, lamp and music, or off. The speakers produce a full range of sound, from 20 Hz to 20k Hz.
